Dr. Drone, Diaries Of An Emo Outcast Junkie

Mitte Kreuzberg

hello friends, years ago I got an email from vava vol and she asked if she could send me a track for MIDNIGHTRADIO COMPILATION, that was the first contact with Vava Vol. in the next years we worked together again and again and today our second album has been released. I would like to thank you, dear Vava Vol, that you go all the experimental ways with me, for that I love you. i would like to thank Candy Lozier who keeps offering these experiments a platform and sending them to the world, in love, glasklinge zeitenlicht - the next words are from vava vol and Candy Lozier

Vava Vol: Please welcome our second collaboration album "Mitte Kreuzberg" hosted by the prestigious Studio 4632 Netlabel. While Eisenlager and I recorded our tracks in our respective studios, we communicated regularly on the progress being made. While working on a blank aural canvas, we discussed our ideas and vision for the album and one day he asked me where I had lived while in West Berlin in the 80s. I responded with "somewhere in the Mitte Kreuzberg district" and thus the tracks, album title and cover art collage came to life. It's such a pleasure to work with Eisenlager. He's a fearless futurist, is beyond musically talented and is not lacking in the creative department. Over the years we have worked together on numerous collaborations, developing a close friendship and professional relationship. The plan is to continue on this journey. I'd like to thank you, Eisenlager, for being you.

I am very pleased to be a part of the Studio 4632 Netlabel family and would also like to thank Candy L for her warm review of our album and for graciously hosting "Mitte Kreuzberg".
Talks are underway for a fall album, so please stay tuned.

A fond memory of 1984 West Berlin “I remember the moment I stepped off the train that late October night with my ten suitcases and entered Berlin’s Zoo Station. The decades-old fluorescent lights cast an eerie yellow glow throughout the building and their constant, low electrical hum filled the air. I could see, hear and feel the history in this place and little did I know this moment would stay with me forever. This was my welcome to 1984 West Berlin.” - Vava Vol’s 1980s Archives

"This collaboration from Eisenlager and Vava Vol is some of the best experimental ambient electronic I have heard. Eisenlager has been on an incredibly creative roll. He and Vava Vol have totally complementary styles on this one. An excellent example of where music can go and still have us eagerly in tow.

This album is about movement, and people, and time, and memory. A synaesthetic journey, done in a magical experimental style. A chronology, maybe. I would say that the tracks are carefully placed in order, maintaining a nice balance between the tones and tempos. The album also incorporates threads of different styles nicely. The overall feeling is mellow. A great listen. A great album. Enjoy Mitte Kreuzberg!" - Candy Lozier for Studio 4632 https://studio4632.bandcamp.com/album/mitte-kreuzberg

Eisenlager Cousin Silas - Sense Of Doubt 1

https://studio4632.bandcamp.com/album/sense-of-doubt-1 Hello my dear friends. I know, now comes a long text and many will have no time or desire to read it, because the world is spinning fast, because in the social media something like fast food rules. I will write it anyway and in the end I'll let Candy Lozier come to word that has found wonderful words for this album. Cousin Silas and Eisenlager have done so now. Many years have passed since the first meeting and I would like to say that we met in New Castle in 1979 on a punk concert for the first time. but that's not true. It was on the internet and I made a website where I collected and presented free electronic music. also cousin silas and later we met on facebook and later he became a permanent part of my project, midnightradio compilation. then we also did a track every now and then, nothing big, little glasses. but why never something big? why not an album? because we just forgot because time just eat us up, because time is running and life is too fast and you lose sight of things. But then we suddenly realized that and finally created this piece of music, which we want to present to you today. the title of the album was chosen because i want to bow to it david bowie. He was a free-spirited and full of experiments. sometimes he has write texts on paper, cut up the pieces and mix them together and let chance decide what comes out. I also do that when I produce music. if the result amazes me then it is good to publish it. I never plan, I always experiment and have found a great counterpart with cousin silas. He is also a freethinker, he has the great English humor and a sharp tongue that I love and he is open to my experiments and most importantly, his sounds and my tune harmonize wonderfully. It was very easy for us to create this music. It was not a difficult birth, it was a happy birth. Thank you my friend. I also thank Candy who always encourages me to do what I do and give the whole a platform and wonderful words to describe the music in pictures. I never want to travel on a rail with music, never be on a highway, never stop in a departure hall and never enter a spaceship but I just want one thing, I want to get away, I want to stumble and fall and I want to go in the dirt rooting and the result will always be eisenlager. sometimes to dream, sometimes to relax and sometimes to scream or be amazed and always a great humor. I think that's cousin silas and I succeeded. Thank you for reading, listening and redistributing. in love, nobbi, glasklinge zeitenlicht and eisenlager. and now, Candy Lozier words, and then, my words for my german friends and then, enjoy ;- )

A collaborative project, Sense Of Doubt 1 was recorded by Cousin Silas (Studio Cousin Silas UK) and Eisenlager (Studio Glasklinge Zeitenlicht) in January of 2018. I would call this an anything goes kind of album. I would also call this a somewhat brilliant album. I have come to know Eisenlager as a truly gifted artist. He is also a free spirited creative force. He does exactly what he feels with his music, from the heart, and without consideration for anything resembling a constraint! The same exact things I would say about Cousin Silas. And I personally am thrilled when I see artistic friends push the boundaries, raise the stakes, take the unpaved road and say, why not??! With Sense Of Doubt 1, you are definitely on the unpaved road! There is no obvious rhyme or reason, no theme, no continuum, simply excellent music! And to that music, both Eisenlager and Cousin Silas are incredibly adept at experimenting, mixing it up, in ways others don't seem to imagine. I love it when the synths are gliding along amid layers of lovely little background sounds, and bam! In pops a lovely muted trumpet. Or slightly discordant keys. Or some other element that shouldn't work, but does. This is especially true of the final track, Believe Me, More Is Coming. The second track is amazing too, with it's repeating synth glissando! Overall. an excellent and wonderfully creative project by Cousin Silas and Eisenlager. Enjoy Sense Of Doubt #
